Consistently high levels of tourism<\/h3>\r\nWinning the poll would have generated invaluable PR opportunities in the global press to promote Marbella on the world-stage. This type of publicity can significantly increase tourism figures. The good news is, that although Marbella didn\u2019t win the prize, this beautiful cosmopolitan city is considered a dream destination and consistently draws millions of visitors to its shores. In 2021, Marbella saw a total of 87,466 tourists (51,443 foreigners and 36,023 Spaniards) in August. This is just under 2,000 fewer than in 2019 prior to the pandemic.\r\n
