EL MADROÑAL
El Madroñal is an upmarket enclave developed as a hillside extension to Puerto Banús within the municipality of Benahavís. Originally developed by Jaime Parladé y Sanjuanena, third Marquess of Apezteguia, later owned by Christina Onassis husband, Thierry Roussel, its pedigree as a ‘millionaire’s playground’ is impeccable, so it is no surprise that the rich and famous, including the ’39 steps’ actress Madeleine Carroll, have made it their home. El Madroñal is less 1 hour from Malaga’s International Airport and a similar distance from Gibraltar.
